Oh Boy!

We found out Tuesday the 12th that we are expecting a baby boy! We are so excited to be blessed with a little boy! I am still in a bit of shock. I really figured it was a another girl, I mean after all, Madison said it was. God is so amazing! First he blessed with us with a precious little girl and now he is making our little family even better with a baby boy. Life is truly an adventure! I can't wait to see what our little boy will have in store for us. I hope he is just as crazy, wild, amazing, entertaining, loving, and kind hearted as Madison is. I wouldn't want it any other way.... We didn't have a preference (when I say we, I mean Brian and I. Madison was determined that we have a girl), we just wanted a healthy baby and it looks like that is what we have, and a strong one, if its any indication by the constant kicking going on in my stomach! I have been able to feel him for about 3 or 4 weeks now, but I had my hand on my stomach yesterday and felt him from the outside! I can't wait till it is constant and Madison can feel him move. Anyway, back to the ultrasound, everything on the ultrasound looked great. My doctor described it as an unremarkable ultrasound. I had to think about that one for a minute. Unremarkable is a good thing when you are looking for something out of place! He is right at the size he is suppose to be. I will get to have another ultrasound in my 3rd trimester, closer to my due date, because Madison was so small. He wants to check on his growth.

Madison went to the ultrasound with us. She thought we were going to get the baby out and bring it home. She didn't quite grasp the idea that we were just going to get to see him on a tv screen. When the ultrasound tech told us we were having a boy, Madison looked at her and said, "But I wanted a baby girl!" It took everything I had not to laugh. She was so serious! She then looked at me and said, "Mama, why are we having a boy?" I told her it was because that was what God wanted us to have. She seemed ok with that and walked out the door of the doctor's office yelling, "it's a boy, it's a boy!" Have I mentioned lately that she is WAY to cute? Because she is!

I am doing great for the most part. Besides for some random left hip and leg pain when he decides to lay on a nerve, I really can't complain. (My husband and family might not agree with this statement, I am trying, I really am!) I don't think I have gained half the weight I did with Madison, at this point, which is a good thing, I don't need my doctor yelling at me. I feel like I have been WAY more emotional this time. (This is a statement I'm sure my husband will agree with me on) I can cry at a moments notice and have some crazy mood swings. Hey, at least I can admit this, everyone is just going to have to forgive me and ignore me!

I can't believe we are 16/17 short weeks away from having this baby! It really isn't a long time to get prepared. Especially since EVERYTHING in this house is pink. This pregnancy has really flown by. It seemed like forever before Madison arrived. Half the time, I am too busy chasing her and don't have time to sit and think about this one! We are always on the go it seems. There is dance, school, choir, and all sorts of other trouble to get into! I had everything ready to go with Madison. Her room was done a few MONTHS before she arrived. We are moving Madison to my craft room (Don't ask where that stuff is going, I have no idea) and the baby to her old room, but not until after my last Spring show the end of April. That will give us (and by us, I mean Brian and any other wonderful friends and family that want to volunteer, HINT!) about 3 weeks to paint and transform 2 rooms and I will be 9 months pregnant! Woo Hoo. My poor baby girl thought that I was just going to put her stuff in there with my work stuff. She told me there wasn't any room for her bed! As of right now, we will be painting it a light teal blue. We are letting her choose, and that is what she wants. As for the baby's room, it looks like we will be going Razorback. I know, shocking....

I am sorry for the super long post, but its 2 am and I can't sleep so it was either update the blog or talk to myself. Here are some pics of Baby Boy Lee. We do not have a name picked out yet. We have narrowed it down to a few, but nothing definite. We do know his middle name will be Hamilton, the same as Brian's.

Madison has to wave back to this picture every time she sees it. As soon as I can remember I am going to have to get to a photo center and make a copy of it just for her to put in her room. She is going to be such an amazing big sister.

Had to share...

I forgot about this set of pictures and it was just too cute, I just had to share. Brian's parents got us a desperately needed carpet cleaner for Christmas. Who knew the day would come that I would be tickled to death over a carpet cleaner for Christmas?! Brian had a little bit of (unique) help putting it together. Madison is always so curious and loves to put things together (kind of like her daddy). I hope this never changes. It can only make her smarter.

Santa

This is the first year that Madison actually went to Santa willingly! Ok she was willing after she was promised a carosel ride after a picture with him! She was still a little shy, but at least there was no crying this year!

Making Pies

Madison helped me make a couple of pies. The pictures say it all.... Oh and yes she picked out her outfit. Blue shirt, no pants, pink polka dot leg warmers, christmas socks, and clear jelly sandals. Perfect outfit for making pies!

KDO Christmas Musical

Madison was part of the 1st Kids Day Out program at our church. The KDO teachers did an amazing job! How they managed to get that may 2-5 year olds to sit still long enough to teach them songs and put on a musical is beyond me! They were all too cute. They had to wear their pjs for the program. I wish they could wear them everyday, it would make our mornings go so much quicker! I wish I could figure out how to put video on here.

Christmas

I thought I'd take the time and update the blog today because we are snowed in and can't go anywhere. It is a balmy 14 degrees outside this morning. I don't do cold! Brian normally leaves for work around 5 am, when he still couldn't get out in the pickup at 8, one of his bosses came after him. His truck is worthless in this weather and I hate it when he has to drive in it! Anyway, on to Christmas! We have had such a wonderful time this year, and although it was a week and 1/2 ago, we just finished up our last Christmas at my grandparents in Grove this past weekend. We were suppose to visit them the day after Christmas, but the weather was too bad and no one could get there! We have had such a blast with Madison this year. It gets more fun every year. She is more excited and enjoys her presents more and more. The child is spoiled rotten. She got a ton of toys. More than any 1 child could ever need! Things were a bit different this year because of the weather, but everything was still great. We spent Christmas Eve with Brian's aunt and uncle, but left fairly early to go home and pack and stay the night at my parents. It had started to snow and they were calling for 4 to 8 inches overnight! Glad we did, we would have never made it Christmas morning! We were finally able to slip and slide our way back to Brian's parents for Christmaswith them by that afternoon. Ok on to the pictures because I know thats what you want anyway...
