4 Weeks old!

I can't believe my baby boy is 4 weeks old! It seems like yesterday I was sitting the pre-op room at the hospital waiting not so patiently for my c-section! Its amazing how quickly time passes when you aren't sleeping. One would think these past 4 weeks would have been so slow due to the lack of sleep, but it hasn't. He is actually sleeping pretty good! He is sleeping between 4-6 hours at a time and going right back to sleep after he is fed, so I really can't complain. His big sister is the one that is actually about to do us in with her sleeping or lack there off. Several times in the past few weeks she has decided that between 5 and 6 is a good time to start her day. Usually there is no convincing her to go back to sleep. Thank goodness for nap time!
Parker weighed 8 1/2 lbs at his 3 week check up and was 21 inches long. He is gaining weight at a rapid pace! He eats like crazy and gets so mad if you don't feed him as soon as he wakes up. Pretty sure he gets that from his daddy. I'm still trying to figure out how to change his diapers. I have been sprayed more than once. Its usually at 2 am when I can't see straight! I made pee pee teepees, I got so desperate! They don't work real well, he is too squirmy to keep it on while I change him. Guess I'll just have to get faster at either changing him or ducking...
Madison is still so fascinated with him and wants to kiss, hug, and hold him constantly. We can't convince her to back off. She doesn't understand how fragile he is. I thought the newness would wear off by now, but it hasn't. Its worse than ever. Why wouldn't she want to be close to him though? He is sweet! I am still not brave enough to venture out to far on my own with both of them. I did have to take them both to the pediatricians office, but that is as far as we've gone. Maybe one day I'll get brave enough!
Here are some new pictures. Hopefully I'll get his announcements out soon. I just have to find time to do it. If he is awake he wants to be held, and if he is asleep, I either want to sleep or Madison wants to play. I can sleep when I'm old right?

He's here!

Parker is finally here! He is 11 days old today! He is currently sleeping so I thought I'd take a second to update the blog and share some pictures. He was born on May 25th at 11:16am. He is 7lbs 12 oz and 19 1/2 inches long. He was nearly 3 lbs bigger than Madison! He still seems so tiny though!

We are slowly getting adjusted to having newborn in the house again. It is amazing what you forget in 5 years! He is so sweet and is such a snuggler. He would rather sleep on my chest than anywhere else. We've spent many hours curled up in the recliner. Madison is figuring out this whole big sister thing. She loves him so much and wants to constantly touch him. Its hard for a 5 year old to realize how fragile a newborn is. She is slowly figuring things out. I thought his newness would wear out by now, but no. She wakes up every morning and looks and smiles at him like it is their 1st meeting.
